## Summary

The LHC for the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) invites businesses to engage in the "Public Buildings Construction and Infrastructure" framework, designed to facilitate construction work across various sectors within Scotland, specifically in regions UKM5, UKM6, UKM7, UKM8, and UKM9. This framework, initiated on 1 October 2021 and extended to remain effective until 30 April 2027, addresses the construction of public and social infrastructure, including educational, healthcare, and emergency service buildings. As of the latest update on 10 April 2026, the procurement stage is at the 'Contract Update' phase, emphasizing ongoing opportunities for engagement in multiple regional areas despite focusing initially on areas for which contractors are pre-selected. Notably, suppliers are expected not only to deliver construction projects but also to support community benefits such as local employment and training as part of the contract performance requirements.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the construction sector, particularly those experienced in public sector projects and keen to expand within the Scottish market. Ideal candidates would include construction companies, building installers, refurbishment specialists, and those with capabilities in delivering comprehensive building and civil engineering works. Moreover, the framework aims to involve SMEs, third sector organisations, and supported businesses by offering sub-contracting opportunities. By engaging with this framework, businesses can benefit from long-term projects, build networks for future collaborations, and enhance their portfolios with high-profile public sector projects. The structured procurement process and the broad variety of works ensure a competitive yet supportive environment for business growth.
