## Summary

Plymouth Community Homes, the largest social housing landlord in Plymouth, is planning a procurement process entitled "Stores Materials" under the industry category of goods. This process, initially in the planning stage, focuses on acquiring building materials to support the Repairs Department's operations in Plymouth and surrounding areas. The preliminary market engagement (PME) notice has been published, and interested parties must submit their interest by noon on 22nd April 2026. The anticipated completion for the tender is early in 2027. The procurement aims to explore managed services and different commercial options for servicing housing material requirements in Devon and Cornwall, with the legal basis grounded in UK legislation reference 2023/54. The procurement method is yet to be fully determined, with further notices expected by September 2026.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in building materials and those capable of providing innovative delivery models and commercial strategies. Particularly well-suited are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can demonstrate agile supply chain capabilities and provide managed services or unique delivery solutions to support Plymouth Community Homes' operations. With a substantial gross budget of £15,120,000, there is considerable scope for business growth, especially for those looking to expand their operations in the Devon and Cornwall regions. The tender also indicates a seven-year contract period starting in February 2027, which provides long-term engagement potential for selected suppliers. Interested businesses are encouraged to engage early by contacting Plymouth Community Homes for preliminary discussions.
