## Summary

The NHS England has awarded a contract for the delivery of outreach roving Covid-19 vaccination clinics in the Black Country region, including Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, and Wolverhampton. This urgent award under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 was necessitated by the unexpected withdrawal of the previous provider, with the aim to maintain service continuity and address health inequalities. The contract, valued at up to £200,000, commenced on 13 April 2026 and will conclude on 30 June 2026. The procurement process was conducted without prior publication of a call for competition under Regulation 14 due to urgent circumstances, and the final approval was given by senior officials of the NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board and NHS England Midlands in early April 2026.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in mobile health services, particularly those with capabilities in rapid service mobilisation and experienced workforce in health outreach projects. Central Health Solutions Ltd, a small to medium-sized enterprise, has been awarded the contract due to their proven ability to quickly deploy mobile clinics with a trained workforce, ensuring continuity of care for underserved populations. Competing businesses with operational capacity and experience in similar health service delivery could find growth opportunities in future NHS procurements, as demand for rapid response services in health care remains crucial in addressing public health challenges.
