## Summary

The Community Gateway Association Limited is in the planning stage of a procurement process for the provision of hand-held power tools, with an estimated contract value of £385,000. This initiative is part of its Gateway Property Care service, which handles around 20,000 repairs annually in Preston, United Kingdom. The procurement process will officially begin in June 2026, with preliminary market engagement meetings scheduled for May 2026 on multiple dates. Interested parties should register by 8 May 2026 to participate in these meetings, which will be held via Teams. The focus is on goods within the hand-held electromechanical tools industry category, and the procurement will be conducted under UK procurement regulations, targeting the public authority sub-central government sector.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for suppliers specialising in hand-held power tools and associated maintenance services. Participating businesses will have the chance to provide a comprehensive solution that includes tools, maintenance, asset management software, and training. Companies experienced in offering durable power tools, compliance with health and safety standards, and integration of asset management systems are ideal candidates. Furthermore, organisations that can offer leasing, hire, or purchase delivery models and demonstrate social value or sustainability initiatives will find this procurement particularly appealing. Engaging in this tender can lead to long-term strategic partnerships with a prominent community-focused association.
