## Summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is currently in the planning phase of establishing a Dynamic Market for the supply of Unlicensed Imported Medicines, scheduled to commence in October 2026 in Leeds, UK. This procurement process, categorised under pharmaceutical products, aims to form a sustainable procurement route for medicines across the North East and Yorkshire NHS Pharmaceutical Purchasing Consortium, allowing for continuous supplier admission. Interested suppliers are encouraged to express their interest by 5th May 2026, as part of the preliminary market engagement which includes key activities like sharing draft specifications and formal Q&A. The procurement method adopted for this process is open, encouraging transparent and responsive sourcing aligned with UK regulatory standards.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for growth to businesses within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs), that are capable of supplying unlicensed medicines. Companies with the necessary licenses and approvals can compete to become part of a dynamic and rapidly adaptable procurement landscape, enhancing their market presence and contributing to resilient medicine supply routes. Participating businesses will benefit from the assurance of quality, competitive sourcing, and the flexible procurement dynamics that the Dynamic Market structure offers, fostering innovation and responsiveness in the sector.
