## Summary

The procurement process for the Health Inequalities Project: Dementia Support Service has recently been updated and is managed by the Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, located in Birmingham, United Kingdom. This initiative falls under the industry category of Miscellaneous Health Services with a focus on addressing health inequalities. As of 18th June 2026, the project has progressed to the tender update stage following a Provider Selection Regime under the Health Care Services Regulations 2023. The primary aim is to engage suitable providers over a two-year period, with a formal award already granted to specific service providers. The project is structured under the Most Suitable Provider process, whereas the initial planning notices were publicised in April 2026 with application and question submission deadlines reaching as early as 5th May 2026 and responses following shortly thereafter.

This tender offers considerable opportunities for businesses engaged in delivering high-quality, person-centred dementia support services, especially those capable of innovatively addressing health disparities. The contract, valued at approximately £140,000, is particularly well-suited for organisations that are part of or collaborate with bodies like the Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector. Businesses that thrive on delivering culturally inclusive engagement and operate within the UK’s West Midlands region, particularly Birmingham, stand to benefit. Given the carefully managed selection process, companies with proven expertise in health services and a robust plan to contribute effectively to the Fairer Futures programme’s objectives are likely to find this project an invaluable platform for expansion and increased visibility in the healthcare sector.
