## Summary

The University of Glasgow is inviting tenders for the procurement of an X-Ray Test & Inspection System to support R&D and pilot-scale operations. This initiative focuses on laboratory, optical, and precision equipment, specifically under CPV category 38000000. The procurement process is currently active and taking place in Glasgow, with submissions expected by 21 May 2026, at 12:00. The tender utilises a Competitive Procedure with Negotiation, which is designed to efficiently evaluate suppliers' responses. Suppliers must submit their electronic responses via the Public Contracts Scotland platform, as no paper copies will be accepted.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the laboratory equipment sector, particularly those with the capacity to provide sophisticated X-Ray analysis tools. Suitable candidates are likely to be companies specialised in developing technologies for complex systems, with a demonstrated commitment to community benefits such as employment and training for priority groups and developing supply-chain opportunities for SMEs. The procurement requires businesses to hold sufficient liability insurance and demonstrate financial robustness. This process could prove beneficial for companies seeking to expand their market presence in innovative R&D solutions and foster collaboration with a prestigious educational institution.
