## Summary

Durham County Council is currently in the tender stage of the North Pennines National Landscape Partnership Peatland Restoration Framework, focused on construction work within the region UKC, United Kingdom. This procurement is conducted through an open, below-threshold competition to establish a framework agreement for peatland restoration services, including fencing, reprofiling, and other related activities. Key deadlines include a tender end date of 3rd June 2026, with submissions due by 12th June 2026 at 12 noon. The initial contract period is set from 13th July 2026 to 12th July 2028, with potential extensions up to 2030, subject to funding.

The framework presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in construction and environmental restoration, particularly those skilled in peatland management. With a total estimated value of £4.3 million, the framework allows successful businesses to compete in a variety of related projects throughout its duration. Up to eight contractors will be selected based on a scoring system that includes quality, pricing, and social value criteria. This is an attractive opportunity for businesses capable of delivering competitive and sustainable solutions, providing growth potential through consistent project opportunities and exposure within a multi-regional framework.
