## Summary

The NHS Central East Integrated Care Board has issued an intention to award notice under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) for the "Retain and Regain Employment Support" contract, primarily focusing on health services including support for patients with neurodiversity. The intended contract will commence on 1st April 2026 and run until 31st March 2027, with the possibility of a two-year extension. This procurement is carried out without prior publication, in accordance with the Health Care Services Regulations 2023 and does not fall under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The notice marks the start of the standstill period, with representations to be made by 6th May 2026. Changes in the structures of Integrated Care Boards are anticipated during and post the contract duration which might affect this service area in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough region.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, especially for companies experienced in providing employment support services within healthcare, focusing on neurodiverse patients. As the process is a direct award without prior competition, established providers delivering similar services may find a competitive advantage. Businesses within the UKH12 region, with capabilities to expand or enhance their offerings in health service provisions, particularly those that can adapt to ongoing systemic changes within NHS structures, would be well-positioned to engage. By aligning with this procurement, companies can strengthen partnerships within the healthcare sector, especially with the reputable NHS Central East Integrated Care Board.
