## Summary

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a contract for the West Suffolk Integrated Musculoskeletal Service (WSIMS) under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The awarded contract, valued at £5,261,150.00 and potentially increasing to £7,891,725.00 with the optional extension, commences on 10th August 2026 and concludes on 9th August 2028. An additional 12-month extension is possible, contingent upon satisfactory performance. This direct award process falls under a limited procurement method, specifically bypassing the usual publication requirements, and is focused on delivering crucial community health services in Bury St Edmunds, United Kingdom.

The contract provides rich opportunities for businesses skilled in delivering multidisciplinary musculoskeletal programmes. Companies focusing on health services, particularly community health services, would benefit from engaging with this procurement. Ideal candidates would be organisations that can efficiently manage patient-focused care using evidence-based guidelines, integrate service delivery within existing health networks, and facilitate improvements in diagnosis while driving down unnecessary referrals to secondary care. Such collaborations not only support organisational growth but also improve patient outcomes through innovative care pathways. For established providers meeting quality and cost benchmarks, this could represent a stable growth opportunity for the next few years, aligning financial plans with health service demands.

## Notice

The aim of the WSIMS service is to provide a multidisciplinary MSK programme of services delivered in both acute and community settings, as appropriate for the individual patient and their condition.
