## Summary

Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council is planning a tender process for the delivery of a Community Wellbeing Practitioner service, aimed at enhancing community health services specifically within the domain of mental health and substance use disorders. The tender currently resides within the 'planning' stage, and a market engagement questionnaire is available that must be completed by 1st May 2026. This procurement initiative falls under the services category and is primarily intended for the Oldham area, categorized under CPV code 85323000 for community health services. The detailed survey aims to capture insights on the delivery efficiencies and service expectations before the formal notice potentially scheduled around 1st June 2026.

Businesses with expertise in healthcare services, mental health support, and substance use disorder treatment are especially well-suited to leverage this tender for growth opportunities. Collaborative ventures with agencies like Turning Point can provide the necessary partnership structure for multidisciplinary approaches. This could serve as an excellent growth opportunity for service providers that can deliver robust support and seamless communication between mental health and substance misuse services, fostering improved engagement and patient outcomes. The desired outcome is to ensure that providers can deliver high-quality, integrated care to residents of Oldham, with particular focus on those with co-occurring conditions. This programme seeks to enhance local healthcare provision, making it an attractive prospect for businesses ready to engage in public health advancements.
