## Summary

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Authority has initiated a procurement process with the aim of enhancing their pre-hospital casualty care services. The contract titled "DS526-25 Clinical Governance" is governed by the legal basis set under UKPGA 2023/54 and is classified under the industry category of medical practice and related services. Located in Exeter, within the South West of England (region UKK), the procurement reached the award stage as of 30th April 2026 and the contractual agreement commenced on 5th May 2026 with THE ATACC GROUP LTD as the named supplier. The procurement followed a 'limited' method, involving a below-threshold limited competition, indicating a light-touch regime. This contract will initially run for three years, with a possible extension to five years, highlighting key dates for business consideration.

The awarded tender offers significant opportunities for businesses involved in the provision of clinical governance services, including medical direction, review of casualty care equipment and procedures, and expert legal representation. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), like THE ATACC GROUP LTD, can leverage such opportunities to expand their portfolios, especially those with expertise in medical practice services. Businesses that can offer comprehensive medical advisory services, risk indemnification, and urgent medical consultancy stand to gain from this partnership as they contribute to improving public safety and healthcare compliance. Engaging in such contracts not only ensures financial growth but also fosters reputation enhancement through collaboration with a public authority.
