## Summary

The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for "DWP AI Transcription" services, classified under the information technology services category. This initiative aims to explore market capabilities in providing speech-to-text transcription and multilingual support to enhance the department's citizen and colleague interactions. The procurement process is being conducted under the legal framework of CELEX 32014L0024 and is set to cover services within the United Kingdom, specifically targeting the UKI region. As it stands, this is a Request for Information (RFI) and does not yet guarantee any formal procurement activities. The process commences as of 1st May 2026, with the intention to engage with potential service providers who can deliver efficient and accurate transcription solutions.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses specialising in information technology services, particularly those with existing expertise in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and API-based transcription solutions. Companies offering innovative transcription products that include summarisation and multilingual capabilities stand to benefit significantly, as they could contribute to improving accessibility and operational efficiency for the DWP. Businesses that can provide adaptable solutions allowing users to edit and annotate transcriptions for diverse operational contexts are ideally suited for this engagement. As the procurement process is still in the planning stages, participating businesses have the chance to influence and contribute to the development of the tender requirements, potentially aligning with the DWP’s strategic goals.

## Notice

### Lot Information

Lot 1
