## Summary

Cambridge City Council is seeking a supplier for the provision of printing services for two magazines, Cambridge Matters and Open Door, under the procurement exercise titled "The Provision of Printing Services for Magazines." This tender, focusing on the industry category of printing and related services, requires the supplier to print and manage the distribution of these magazines across Cambridge. The procurement process is in the tender stage and utilises an open competition method. The deadline for submissions is set for 27 May 2026, with the contract period commencing on 1 July 2026 and potentially extending until 30 June 2029, allowing for a 12-month renewal. The estimated value of the contract is £67,500, with a total potential gross value of £81,000.

This tender provides a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in printing services, particularly those experienced in large-scale magazine printing and distribution. Companies that are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a strong track record in managing quality print jobs would be ideal candidates, as the award criteria heavily favour quality over price with a 70% quality weighting. Successful bidders will have the chance to foster a robust relationship with Cambridge City Council and demonstrate their expertise by collaborating with nominated designers and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. Engaging in this contract could enhance a printing business's portfolio and establish a foothold in public sector procurement.
