The buildings are CLASP Mk 4 construction comprising concrete panel curtain walling fixed to a steel frame. The floors and original flat roof are timber construction and windows and doors aluminium. A steel frame pitched roof was later installed on the residential blocks with metal profiled sheets. The buildings have a gross internal floor area of 5155m2 and a total site area of 14,149m2.
