## Summary

The contracting process, managed by NORTH CHESHIRE & MERSEY NHS FOUNDATION TRUST, pertains to the provision of a Fertility Consultant at their Halton Site, focusing on secondary fertility services. Classified under the health services category, this procurement is an intention to award notice under the Provider Selection Regime regulations of 2023, not under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The contract process is currently at the award stage, with a standstill period following the publication of this notice. Interested parties must submit representations by 22 May 2026. The procurement method employed is a direct award to the incumbent provider, Liverpool Womens NHS Foundation Trust, avoiding a prior call for competition, and involves services rendered on a weekly basis specifically on Tuesday mornings. The total contract value is GBP 24,000.

This tender provides business growth opportunities particularly for businesses specialising in health services, especially those capable of delivering high-quality fertility consultancy work efficiently. Companies with expertise in managing complex patient needs, including out-patient care and analysis, will find this prospect beneficial. The arrangement, being a direct award to an existing provider, implies that businesses already fulfilling such contracts are well-positioned to undertake the responsibilities efficiently. Hence, enterprises looking to expand or enhance their service delivery in medical consultancy within the NHS framework will find this a fitting opportunity to establish or reinforce partnerships with public health trusts.
