## Summary

The Borough of Telford & Wrekin is inviting applications for its "The Specialist Care Framework (Release 2)" under an open procurement method. This framework seeks providers for delivering specialist care services to adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, and acquired brain injury needs. The services, valued at up to £78 million, are divided into four lots with varying support levels. Located in Telford, Shropshire, the framework intends to foster community involvement, particularly within UKG21 regions, and will operate from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2028. The tender process is currently active, with a submission deadline set for 10th June 2026, followed by the award period ending on 27th July 2026.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for providers specialising in health and social work services to expand their business. Companies with experience in person-centred care and those aligned with the Preparing for Adulthood principles stand to benefit greatly, particularly if they can offer innovative, compassionate services. Given the framework’s design, which opens possibilities for repeat engagement and no cap on the number of participating providers, small to medium-sized enterprises and voluntary and community sector entities are particularly encouraged to apply. The open procedure and framework agreement allow for flexibility, making it ideal for businesses aiming to establish or grow their foothold in the specialist care sector within the UK.
