## Summary

The University of Huddersfield is seeking tenders for Water Treatment and Control of Legionella services, catering to their institutional needs at Queensgate, West Yorkshire. As a part of the sub-central government, the University requires comprehensive health and safety services, specifically focusing on regular legionella risk assessments, water monitoring, and cleaning operations. This tender, currently in the active stage with the procurement method marked as open competition, aims to engage suppliers until 10th June 2026, with inquiries closing by 8th June 2026. With a value of £150,000, the contract period is slated to commence on 1st August 2026 and conclude on 1st August 2030.

This procurement process presents expansive business growth opportunities, particularly beneficial for SMEs specialising in health and safety consultancy, environmental services, or disinfecting services. Firms proficient in tackling water pollution and conducting high-standard water supply analysis will find this tender particularly relevant. The emphasis on both pricing (40% weight) and quality (60% weight) during the evaluation speaks to the University's commitment to leveraging competitive services that balance cost and exceptional quality. Such an opportunity is well-suited for businesses adept at maintaining high operational standards and seeking to establish long-term partnerships within the education sector.
