## Summary

The public procurement process for the "Maternity EPR System" is being conducted by Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions Limited, situated at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Lindley, Huddersfield, United Kingdom. As a central government public authority, they are currently in the planning stage of this procurement. This process involves a Request for Information (RFI) aimed at early market engagement for developing the specification for a Maternity Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, primarily targeted at CHFT and community midwifery. The response deadline for this RFI is set for 1st June 2026. The procurement is categorised under IT software packages and software supply services, with an expected gross value of £600,000 and a specific interest in involvement from SMEs. The formal procurement notices are scheduled for release on 29th June 2026, and the contract period is intended to begin on 16th June 2027, extending until 15th June 2030, with potential renewals.

This planned procurement represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in IT, particularly those with experience in developing software systems for the healthcare sector. Companies that have a track record of delivering maternity EPR solutions within the NHS, possess strong integration capabilities, and can demonstrate compliance with national standards will find themselves well-positioned to compete. The procurement method being open allows greater access for a range of vendors, including SMEs, aiming to support innovative and cost-effective solutions. This could facilitate business growth through securing substantial, long-term government contracts and expanding their presence in the healthcare technology market.
