## Summary

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is initiating a procurement process for a "Hearing Recording Processing and Management Solution" in the industry category of Information Technology Services and Software Package and Information Systems. This tender is currently in the planning stage, with a focus on converting video recordings into audio files, and managing related data securely. The procurement is conducted under the Procurement Act 2023. The process began with a Preliminary Market Engagement Notice released on 13th May 2026 and includes milestone dates such as the opening of the Request for Information (RFI) on 18th May 2026, and a submission deadline for RFI responses on 4th June 2026. Located in the United Kingdom, specifically within London, this procurement opportunity invites suppliers to participate through the MoJ e-Sourcing portal, providing a channel for communication and responses within the outlined timeframe.

This procurement presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses specializing in IT services, particularly those offering solutions for audio and video file management and processing. SMEs and VCSEs are noted as suitable for engagement, indicating an inclusive approach to vendor selection. The tender seeks innovative solutions, either through off-the-shelf software, configured existing products, or bespoke development. Businesses with the capability to provide secure file conversion and metadata handling systems, particularly those skilled in working with multiple audio and video formats like MP4, MP3, and others, are poised to benefit. This engagement not only allows providers to contribute to critical government functions but also offers a platform to leverage their expertise in a key public sector project.
