## Summary

Transport for London (TfL) is currently in the planning stage for a tender focused on cash collection and cash in transit services. This initiative involves conducting a Market Sounding Questionnaire to prepare for the procurement process. The procurement is categorized under banking and security services, and it includes collecting cash from approximately 300 London Underground stations and additional locations across Greater London, Essex, and Hertfordshire. The tender process is scheduled to advance significantly with a key milestone due by 31st July 2026, allowing businesses to engage in market analysis early. The planned period of the contract spans from 30th April 2027 to 29th April 2031, providing a significant duration for service provision. The procurement method includes setting up a dynamic purchasing system, catering to businesses within the UK region.

This tender provides substantial opportunities for businesses specializing in cash handling, transportation, and security services, offering a total value of £2,000,000 with an expected gross amount of £2,400,000. It is particularly well-suited for businesses that can ensure the safe handling and management of cash across multiple locations. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with capabilities in secure cash logistics stand to benefit, especially those that can operate proficiently under public service undertakings. The service period and planned engagement stages present ample time for participating companies to prepare and propose competitive solutions, ultimately fostering business growth through an established partnership with a major public transport entity like TfL.
