This contract covers the enhancement of the existing DPX Clearing Platform to meet Government Cyber Guidelines and improve student support during the clearing process. The buying organisation is located in London, UK, and this project addresses the software package and information systems industry category. The procurement was conducted through a direct award to Squiz UK Limited, due to the need for specialised services and intellectual property rights considerations. The contract, valued at £1,200,000, will start on 26th June 2026 and is scheduled to run until 25th May 2031, with an optional 12-month extension. As of 26th May 2026, the procurement stage was updated to an award update, with important future steps, including the contract signature set for 29th May 2026.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in software development, particularly those specializing in industry-specific solutions with a focus on security compliance and higher education needs. Companies that can provide timely, secure, and robust software solutions would find this sector beneficial for growth. The direct award method highlights the potential for long-term partnerships with public authorities, leveraging existing intellectual property assets. Businesses already engaged in the sector or those with capabilities in data protection and AI-enhanced platforms are ideally positioned to compete in similar future tenders.

## Notice

The University of Greenwich has an existing DPX Clearing Platform which interfaces with our it systems and website. There is a need to complete to an upgrade to ensure compliance with our cyber accreditations to ensure the safety of data. In addition part of the enhancement includes the AI tool to speed up the process. The fundamental considerations for this solution is that it fits within our existing system architecture, is specialist for the higher education sector and that the company owns the intellectual property rights. The delivery of a timely development is required to enable the university to continue to support its students during the clearing process and ensure student success. There are no reasonable alternative or substitute development sites within the desired location that will meet the delivery timescales. This is a critical link to our student experience and to ensure the safety of our students and compliance with Government standards for Studies.

### Procurement Information

This is required for interoperability reasons as the system will not meet Government Cyber Guidelines if the enhancements are not made.
