## Summary

Kent County Council has awarded a contract to Cleansing Service Group Ltd for the collection, processing, and disposal of chemical wastes and paints, both hazardous and non-hazardous. This contract, valued at £200,000, commenced on 11th May 2026 and will end on 10th May 2027. The procurement process concluded with an award stage on 15th May 2026. The procurement focused on services within the waste management sector, with the key activities taking place at Kent's nineteen household waste recycling centres. The method employed was a limited competition below the threshold, focusing on providing a cost-effective waste management solution in compliance with relevant environmental and technical standards.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses involved in the waste management and environmental services sector. It is particularly suited for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) that have expertise and infrastructure in handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely and effectively. Companies specialising in waste disposal services, especially those equipped to process both chemical waste and paints, can leverage such contracts for business growth. The need for ongoing and compliant waste management solutions presents long-term opportunities for businesses seeking to establish or expand their presence in public sector contracts.
