## Summary

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has completed the procurement process for the "NNUH_JPUH Provision of Clinical Services 26/31". This procurement was conducted under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and follows a direct award process, bypassing prior publication requirements. The contract, valued at £1,522,714,450, runs from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2031 and involves subcontracted hospital services provided by James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for the Norfolk and Suffolk Integrated Care Board. The procurement falls under the services category, specifically hospital and related services, and is situated in the UKH15 region, Norwich.

This tender provides significant business opportunities, particularly for large-scale providers specialising in healthcare services. It exemplifies a collaborative approach within the NHS, leveraging existing relationships to optimise service delivery without a competitive tendering process. Businesses experienced with direct award mechanisms or those capable of forming strategic alliances could find similar opportunities advantageous. The substantial contract value indicates a high level of trust and responsibility, suggesting that only well-established hospital service providers with robust operational capabilities would be well-suited to successfully compete in similar procurement processes in this sector.
