## Summary

Sunderland City Council is undertaking a public procurement process for the design and construction of the Sheepfolds Mobility Hub. This multi-storey project involves creating a building associated with transport, offering features such as car parking, EV charging stations, a cycle café, and secure bicycle parking, all located in Sunderland, United Kingdom. The procurement is in the planning stage, with the market engagement scheduled due on 3rd June 2026. The proposed project start date is 14th September 2026, and the completion is planned for 1st December 2028. The project's gross value is estimated at £13,440,000, and it will follow an open procedure procurement method.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the construction and transport infrastructure sectors, particularly those experienced in building transport-associated facilities. The project is highly suitable for contractors with capabilities in sustainable construction solutions, given its focus on features like EV charging and sustainable transport. Companies involved in smart urban mobility and those that can demonstrate expertise in managing projects alongside operational transport lines would also find an advantageous market position in vying for this contract.
