## Summary

The current public procurement process is at the planning stage for a potential works contract announced by Homes England, operating as a sub-central government authority. The project titled "Homes England - Ifield Phase 1 Infrastructure" targets the construction industry and is set in the region UKJ2, United Kingdom. Key aspects of Phase 1 involve the establishment of key infrastructure including a two-lane road and a dual carriageway with facilities for cyclists and pedestrians, as well as strategic public realm works. The procurement stage began with a pipeline notice published on 19th May 2026, and further communication is anticipated by 1st March 2027. The works are valued at £45 million excluding VAT, with an expected contract execution from 25th October 2027 to 24th October 2029. The precise procurement method remains to be confirmed, with possibilities including a Dynamic Market or Framework.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for business growth within the construction sector, especially for companies specialising in road infrastructure, utility installation, and large-scale public realm projects. Given the procurement's open nature to SMEs, smaller firms with relevant experience might find this to be an advantageous entry point into larger frameworks. Companies involved in flood compensation, substation construction, and integrated surface water systems could also find valuable prospects within this initiative. Potential contenders should prepare for participation in a dynamic procurement environment, allowing for robust synergies with public authorities and collaborators in future phases.
