## Summary

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation is in the planning stages of a large-scale procurement process titled "Defence Hard Facilities Management (UK Estate)" aiming to manage regional Hard Facilities Management (FM) services across the UK. This procurement falls under the 'services' industry category and is aligned with central government needs. The projected contract period is from 15th December 2028 to 14th December 2038, focusing on delivering high-quality FM services that include repair and maintenance, building management, and grounds maintenance. A future notice detailing next steps is anticipated by 30th June 2027. With an estimated total value of £12 billion for core FM services, additional works could raise the value to £14.4 billion. The procurement may leverage the Government Commercial Agency's Facilities Management and Security Services Framework RM6378.

This planned procurement represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in facilities management, maintenance services, and building management. Companies offering innovative solutions that enhance Service Level Agreements and increase operational efficiencies can find growth opportunities through collaboration. SMEs and large firms with experience in delivering scalable and responsive facilities services may benefit from the potential additional works, which demand flexibility to cater to dynamic needs across the Defence estate. By engaging in this tender process, businesses can solidify their presence within the lucrative public infrastructure space facilitated by the Ministry of Defence.
