## Summary

United Utilities Water Limited is initiating a preliminary procurement process in the planning stage for a services framework, titled "PRO005111-Services-Framework-Supply, Deliver and Maintenance of Physical Security Systems". This exercise is mainly focused on early market engagement to shape the commercial strategy for physical security solutions tailored to critical national infrastructure within the water sector. The buyer is seeking expressions of interest from capable suppliers, with a submission deadline for initial engagement documents set for 4th June 2026. Located in Great Sankey, United Kingdom, this process falls under the 'security, fire-fighting, police and defence equipment' category, with procurement activities planned throughout the UK region UKD, and has identified an estimated value of up to £12,000,000 under a framework agreement which could extend until October 2034.

This is an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in security systems to engage early in shaping requirements, potentially leading to a formal tender. Companies with expertise in supplying physical security equipment, design, installation, and ongoing maintenance services are well-positioned to participate. Businesses with experience in delivering projects in regulated or critical infrastructure environments, particularly within the water industry, and holding relevant accreditations like NSI and ISO standards, would particularly stand out. Participation could lead to business growth through multi-year service and support contracts, with significant national coverage requirements, providing a platform for exposure and collaboration within the essential services sector.
