## Summary

Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council is planning a procurement process for the "Care at Home, Night Service and Extra Care for Adults." The procurement is currently at the planning stage, with a pipeline notice recently published on 20 May 2026. This procurement process, expected to be advertised within the next 18 months, aims to secure CQC-regulated domiciliary care providers to deliver services in Oldham, UK. The contract, valued at an estimated £20 million annually, is expected to start on 1 February 2027 and may extend up to six years. This opportunity is classified under the industry category of 'Social work and related services' and follows an open procurement method, allowing a wide range of suppliers to participate once the official tender is announced.

This planned procurement opens significant business opportunities, particularly for SMEs and VCSEs specialised in social care services, due to its suitability criteria. The focus on regulated domiciliary care services means businesses with existing capabilities or interest in expanding their operations into the care sector in Oldham can leverage this opportunity. With an intended term of up to six years, successful bidders can expect a stable revenue stream and the potential for extending their contracts. Businesses that are CQC registered and possess a strong track record in delivering quality domiciliary care are well-positioned to benefit from this procurement once it progresses to the tender stage.
