## Summary

The procurement process, titled "Living Well in the Community," is undertaken by Bath & North East Somerset Council, a sub-central government public authority in the United Kingdom. The procurement falls under the industry category of Health and Social Work Services and is focused on care and support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and other impairments within the UKK1 region. The planning stage of this project is active, with a crucial engagement milestone set for 1st January 2027. Preliminary supplier engagement sessions are scheduled for September 2026, with the framework agreement expected to commence on 1st August 2027 and conclude on 31st July 2033, with a possible extension to July 2037. This tender employs an open procedure under the "light touch" regime, focusing on framework agreements, and specifically targets services above the financial threshold.

The "Living Well in the Community" tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services. The contract, worth £135,000,000, covers essential services like supported living, respite care, and day services within a nine-mile radius of Bath, making it particularly suitable for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Businesses with experience in accommodation-based or outreach support will likely find this tender well-aligned with their capabilities, offering them a chance to expand their service provisions and reinforce their local impact. With future procurement notices expected by 1st February 2027, interested parties should capitalise on the provided pre-tender engagement opportunities to maximise their readiness and strategic alignment with the Council's objectives.
