## Summary

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), a central government public authority, is in the tender stage for procuring healthcare and benefits broker services for the British Embassy in Washington and its US Network. This process aims to find a provider capable of delivering comprehensive brokerage services to support the health and welfare benefits programmes for embassy staff across the United States. The procurement falls within the "Insurance brokerage and agency services" category and will be conducted via an open procedure. The procurement is active, with a submission deadline of 14th August 2026, and the contract is expected to start on 1st November 2026, initially for a five-year period, with up to two additional optional years. The total gross value of the contract is estimated at £303,940.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses operating in the insurance brokerage sector, particularly those with experience in managing comprehensive health and life benefit plans. The successful bidder will play an integral role in ensuring the competitiveness and compliance of the benefits offering, providing strategic advisory services, and overseeing the administration of health and life benefit plans. Companies with a robust knowledge of the US insurance market and capabilities in market benchmarking and cost analysis will find this tender aligns well with their expertise. Engaging with this contract could offer substantial growth opportunities by extending service provision to the UK government sector in the U.S., comprising over 550 staff members at the Embassy, Consulates, and Trade Offices across 13 states.
