The contracts are due to start in April 2027, for a period of 3 years (with the option to extend for an additional 2-year period at the Council's discretion). The intended route to market is open tender, and the procurement is intended to comprise of two lots. Lot 1 - Treatment of Dry Recycling - contract details provided at this stage are based on an estimated maximum tonnage of 55kt/annum. 3 year initial term PS19.2m exc. VAT / PS23.04m inc. VAT 2 year optional extension PS12.8 exc. VAT / PS15.36m inc. VAT TOTAL based on estimated maximum tonnages PS32m exc. VAT / PS38.4m inc. VAT Lot 2 - Treatment of Organic Waste - contract details provided at this stage are based on an estimated maximum tonnage of 15kt/annum. 3 year initial term PS1.48 exc. VAT / PS1.78 inc. Within the EOI, the Council request that suppliers also detail how they believe they can bring innovation and value for money to the Contract/s.
