## Summary

WM Trains Limited is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process for a framework agreement titled "Framework - Vehicle Moves & Supporting Services," which falls under the services industry category. The initiative, initiated as of 26th May 2026, involves the provision of both planned and unplanned rolling stock vehicle moves, shunting services, and associated activities within the UK. The procurement process follows a competitive flexible procedure, representing a significant opportunity with a total framework value of £5,859,628. The future notice date is set for 1st August 2026, and the contract is anticipated to commence on 1st April 2027, spanning four years to 2031, with the possibility of extension until 2035.

This tender represents substantial opportunities for SMEs specialising in services related to railway maintenance and logistics, including vehicle recovery and shunting. Businesses with experience in railway transport services or those capable of handling significant rolling stock operations could find this tender suited to their expertise. WM Trains' framework also opens doors for various railway service providers, including Train Operating Companies and Network Rail, to gain flexible access to essential support services through future call-offs. Engaging in this framework could lead to expanded business lines and strengthened partnerships within the rail transport sector.
