## Summary

The procurement process for the "Provision of Social Prescribing and Community Wellness" project has reached the award stage. It was initiated by Wrexham County Borough Council, a sub-central government authority in the United Kingdom, in collaboration with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This procurement targets industry categories within health and social work services, specifically aiming to provide non-clinical wellbeing interventions in Wrexham County. The procurement was conducted through an open procedure with the legal basis established by the UKPGA 2023/54. The awarding of the contract, valued at approximately £101.6 million, has been finalised, and the contract period spans from August 1, 2026, to March 31, 2029, with potential renewals extending up to March 2031.

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities, particularly for organisations specialising in health and social work services. The targeted service delivery model requires structured interventions focusing on mental, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing, which opens avenues for businesses capable of deploying therapeutic, client-focused services. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) were actively invited to participate, with three SMEs and five VCSEs reaching the final stage of bidding. The awarded contract to THE RAINBOW FOUNDATION, WREXHAM, indicates that large-scale organisations with a mission towards public service are well-suited to compete and succeed in similar tenders.
