## Summary

The Birmingham Children's Trust Community Interest Company has completed a procurement process for Domestic Abuse Support Services. The procurement was conducted using an open procedure and falls under the social services industry category. The project aims to provide essential support to families affected by domestic abuse within the Birmingham area, through Early Help and Family Hubs. This process included key deadlines such as a tender submission deadline on 15th June 2026, and has progressed to the contract award stage, with the contract starting on 1st October 2026. The contract will run for three years with potential extensions. The total contract value is noted as £779,313.12, awarded to the supplier Victim Support, a large organisation based in Cardiff.

This tender provides a significant opportunity for businesses within the social services sector, particularly those with experience in tackling domestic abuse and delivering community-based support programs. Companies specialising in social value and quality services would be well-suited to engage in similar procurement opportunities, especially considering the relevant weight given to these criteria. With the contract's focus on early intervention and community engagement, businesses aiming to contribute to social welfare in vulnerable communities could find long-term growth and impact through participation in such initiatives. Moreover, the use of an open procurement method implies a competitive and transparent bidding process, offering equal opportunity for appropriately equipped firms to participate.

## Notice

The aim of this tender is to ensure that families who are affected by domestic abuse are able to access support at the earliest opportunity through Early Help and Family Hubs in their local community. The contract will commence on 1st October 2026 and will be in place for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 (1 + 1) years subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
