## Summary

The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is spearheading a new procurement initiative titled "AMTecH - Architect Services," focusing on the development of an Advanced Marine Technology Hub in Plymouth, United Kingdom. This hub aims to bolster the UK's marine autonomy capabilities, supply chain expertise, and export capacities, especially within the offshore wind sector. Key dates include a "meet the buyer" event on 26th June 2026, with a form submission deadline of 19th June 2026. The procurement process is still at the planning stage, with the contract period anticipated to start on 21st October 2026 and end by 31st May 2027. This opportunity falls under the services category and is above the procurement threshold, employing a dynamic purchasing system.

This procurement offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in architectural and related services, particularly those with experience in waterside development and industrial facility design. As the project requires creating a feasibility study for a marine technology hub, companies with expertise in maritime, offshore wind, and defence sectors are well-suited to compete. Participation could lead to collaboration on a high-impact project forecasted to expand capabilities in marine autonomy and offshore renewables, providing a platform for business growth in cutting-edge technology development and innovation.

## Notice

ORE Catapult require a structured feasibility study to assess the viability of creating a compelling and investible proposition for an Advanced Marine Technology Hub (AMTecH). The Plymouth based facility comprising quayside space for launch and recovery and waterside or inland space for workshops, classrooms, collaboration space, manufacturing facilities will be designed to rapidly grow UK marine autonomy capability, supply chain expertise and export capability across sectors primarily for offshore wind and as an enabler for dual innovation with other sectors including maritime, and defence. Complementing existing facilities in the region by delivering commercial research and development, volume manufacture, test and validate platforms, sensors, and robotics for offshore asset inspection, environmental data collection and long range subsea and surface surveillance. The hub will have the capacity to support development of future +30metre craft to support offshore renewables installation, operations, and maintenance. Preferred sites will be down selected by AMTecH partners in late 2026 who will then need expert advice on the challenges to develop those sites and budgetary estimates of development costs/ planning costs/ license costs, to inform the investment proposal which must be ready by mid 2027. Previous experience in waterside development in Plymouth and design of industrial facilities will be considered to be favorable As part of this process ORE Catapult will be hosting a meet the buyer event on Friday 26th June 2026 at 1000hrs (Fugro, Turnchapel Wharf, Barton Rd, Turnchapel, Plymouth PL9 9RQ). Please note in order to attend this you will have to complete a "Attendance Request Form" which can requested by emailing procurement@ore.catapult.org.uk. Please note this event has a maximum capacity and attendance will be on a first come, first served basis. Deadline for attendance form return will be 19th June 2026 at 1500hrs.
