## Summary

The Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Authority is in the planning stage for a tender titled "Fuel Monitoring System." This procurement process, initiated on 1st June 2026, seeks to implement an advanced fuel monitoring system at multiple sites in Bedfordshire. The primary focus is on enhancing the current manual recording of fuel transactions to an electronic, cloud-based system. The tender falls under the goods category with a focus on fuel pumps and vehicle refuelling services, with delivery locations including regions UKH21, UKH24, and UKH25. Key dates include the market engagement questionnaire deadline on 3rd July 2026, with further procurement actions anticipated after the planned future notice on 24th August 2026.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in fuel monitoring technologies, particularly those capable of offering electronic systems compatible with existing infrastructure. Small and medium enterprises as well as voluntary and community sector enterprises are encouraged to express interest, given their suitability for participation. With a contract period starting in February 2027 and potential for renewal, this project represents both a short-term engagement and longer-term collaboration for companies eager to expand their reach in public sector contracts. Businesses well-versed in electronic fuel systems and their integration would be well-positioned to compete in this procurement process.
