## Summary

The Cladding and Remediation Project, managed by the Peabody Trust, focuses on quantity surveying services in London, under the main procurement category of services. The contract aims to address risks associated with high-rise residential buildings through internal reviews and physical investigations aligned with Government requirements after the Building Safety Act 2022. The procurement method used was limited, employing an award procedure without a prior call for competition, with the award date set on 14th May 2026. The process has reached completion, with key activities performed alongside the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, ensuring that procedures adhere to PAS 8671:2022 standards. The contracting stage is now in the Award phase, with the awarded contractor being Phillip Pank Partnership LLP, based in London.

This tender creates significant opportunities for businesses in the construction consultancy and structural engineering industries, especially those offering expertise in high-rise building safety assessments and remediation work. Companies capable of providing principal designer and CDM advice are particularly well-suited to engage in projects of this nature. By participating in such projects, businesses can establish themselves as reliable partners in public sector housing safety initiatives, potentially leading to further contracts in this sector. The comprehensive scope to improve housing safety aligns with Peabody Trust’s objectives, making it an appealing prospect for firms aiming to secure growth through public sector contracts.

## Notice

The process for the identification of high rise residential buildings that pose a potential risk will be undertaken, initially through an internal data review with Physical investigations then carried out by an appropriately qualified, independent consultant (outside of this scope). This consultant will provide an identification of the risks presented with a series of recommended actions to which Peabody will decide upon the necessary remediations, at which point we would look to engage the services listed below.
