## Summary

The public procurement process for the "Enhanced Substance Misuse Interventions" contract was conducted by Stockton on Tees Borough Council, a regional authority located in Stockton on Tees, UK. This procurement falls under the health and social work services industry category (CPV code 85000000) and is funded through DATRIG grant funding. The contract aims to support the Stockton Recovery Service in delivering effective services for substance misuse recovery. Initially awarded on 31st March 2026, the contract has a 36-month term with possible extensions and a total value of £8,110,846. The procurement was conducted through a limited method involving direct award without prior publication due to the technical necessity of the existing service provider, Change Grow Live, continuing the contract.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses within the healthcare services sector, especially those focused on substance misuse interventions. Organisations with expertise in clinical provision, psychosocial treatment, and harm minimisation can benefit by aligning with the procurement's objectives to enhance recovery services. While the process was not open to multiple bids due to the specific technical requirements, businesses can observe such contracts to identify future collaboration or subcontracting opportunities, especially if they can offer complementary services to enhance user engagement and recovery support within the community. This contract serves as a critical platform for businesses aiming to extend their reach within regional healthcare initiatives.

The service includes a central hub within central Stockton on Tees and community venues within the borough offering clinical provision, psychosocial treatment, harm minimisation and recovery support for adults experiencing complex substance dependency.
