## Summary

De Montfort University has recently completed the procurement process for an Employee Assistance Programme, classified under personnel and payroll services within the broader category of services. The process reached the award stage on 3rd June 2026, resulting in an active contract awarded to People Asset Management Ltd. Located in Leicester, the university conducted a further competition under the Eastern Shires Purchasing Consortium (ESPO) framework, specifically in Lot 2 for Employee Assistance Programmes. This award followed a procedure without the prior publication of a call for competition, making it a limited procurement method. The total contract value is £48,000, and it is expected to contribute significantly to the university's strategy and wellbeing initiatives.

This procurement offers substantial business opportunities, particularly for companies experienced in providing personnel and payroll services, especially within the realm of employee assistance programmes. Businesses that provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions in occupational health services could benefit greatly. The procurement approach, using a framework agreement, provides an opportunity for capable businesses to collaborate with educational institutions like De Montfort University, enhancing their client base and industry reputation. This contract represents a significant business growth opportunity for suppliers who wish to cater to organisations prioritising employee wellbeing and support services.

## Notice

This further competition is being carried under Lot 2 Employee Assistance Programme, and all suppliers on this Lot are invited to submit a proposal. (For information, the procurement follows on from a Market Engagement exercise carried out by the University, ref.2025/S 000-074168)
