## Summary

The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is in the planning stage of procuring an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system for its Umbrella Sexual Health Service, targeting areas across Birmingham and Solihull, England. This procurement process, with a tentative gross amount of £1,560,000, is intended to enhance the service's performance in sexual health outcomes such as chlamydia diagnosis and under-18 conception reduction. The process is currently in the planning stage and seeks proposals by 3rd July 2026. This engagement aims to inform suppliers about the upcoming opportunities, with the contract period expected to extend from February 2027 to February 2032, with potential for renewal. The project falls under the software package and information systems category.

Businesses specialising in software development, particularly those experienced with Electronic Health Record systems, will find a robust opportunity to expand their market presence and forge strategic partnerships with one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in England. The procurement process is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), encouraging diverse supplier engagement. Companies with innovative solutions in healthcare technology can leverage this contract to showcase their capabilities, meet important public health goals, and strengthen their portfolios by contributing to a high-impact healthcare project aimed at serving a globally recognised trust's patient population and improving community health outcomes.
