## Summary

The British Library, located in London, United Kingdom, is in the planning stage for a procurement process titled "002834 RFI British Library Non-print Legal Deposit ejournal Articles Supply Service." This initiative, spearheaded by the central government public authority, aims to engage with suppliers in the fields of digital preservation, scholarly publishing, metadata management, and content aggregation. The current stage of the procurement is a Request for Information (RFI), with a focus on understanding the market capabilities and potential barriers for a Non-Print Legal Deposit eJournal Article Supply Service. Interested parties are requested to download the documents from the Delta eSourcing portal by 6th July 2026. The contract period is planned to start on 1st January 2027 and end on 31st December 2029, with a procurement budget of up to £720,000 GBP.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for businesses involved in journals, data supply, database, data management, and archive services. It invites organisations capable of delivering these services to share insights, thereby aiding in crafting a future procurement strategy that is in line with the Procurement Act 2023. Businesses operating in these sectors have the chance to influence the procurement approach, showcase their capabilities, and potentially shape the delivery models and technological solutions that could be adopted. Companies specialising in these services will find this an excellent opportunity to align with the British Library's objectives and potentially secure future contracts.
