## Summary

The Department for Transport is currently in the planning stage for the procurement titled "TFTS3046 - 2027 VED Roadside Survey Fieldwork". ## Notice

The DfT are seeking a supplier to conduct a survey to measure the number of vehicles on the road which do not have valid Vehicle Excise Duty (VED). This is to be achieved by surveying vehicles at selected sites to record information on vehicle registration marks with accompanying images of the vehicles being observed in traffic, which are then referenced against relevant official vehicle record databases. The Supplier will need to organise and carry out a camera based roadside survey at sites throughout the UK during June and early-July 2027.

### Planning Information

A virtual engagement event will be hosted, and this notice updated to contain dial in details in the coming days.
The virtual event is currently planned for 01/07/2026 - 11am - 12 noon via Teams.
A survey may be developed for reponse between the dates of 1st July, closing 14th July.
The route to market is intended as Lot 2 of RM6347 Transport Technology, however non-framework suppliers are welcome to the engagement event, and we support GCA's endeavours to enable suppliers to seek capable sub-contractor arrangements.
