## Summary

The procurement process led by NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board involves an intention to award a contract under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The process is for services in the "Residential nursing care services" category intended to be provided at Connaught House, The Green, Stratford Road, Solihull. This limited procurement process is without prior publication of a call for competition, as the contract falls outside the scope of the directive. The intended contract covers pathway 2 care home beds for short-term, discharge-to-assess placements from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027. The decision involves participation from NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB, and interested parties must submit representations by 18th June 2026. The announcement serves as an intention to award the contract to Restful Homes (Solihull) Ltd with an approximate maximum value of £1,735,000, starting its standstill period on the day following the notice's publication.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities, particularly for businesses experienced in providing healthcare and residential care services. The contract, focused on delivering short-term residential care, offers prospective vendors the chance to secure work with NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board, a substantial public sector entity in the UK healthcare market. Firms that have previously met similar contract criteria with NHS standards in quality, value, and service sustainability may find themselves well-suited to compete. Business entities capable of integrating value-based care models, enhancing service accessibility, and contributing to social value would particularly fit this profile. While the direct award procedure limits immediate competition, understanding these criteria remains crucial for future opportunities with similar profiles.
