The service uses approximately 780,000 litres of fuel annually across both vessels. Woolwich Ferry operates two ferries linking Woolwich and North Woolwich across the Thames. The ferry is a free service and the vessels used carry pedestrians, cyclists, cars, vans and lorries. TfL are considering a number of fuel types. Alongside the Ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD), TfL are also considering alternate fuel types subject to specification/standards development and vessel suitability.
