## Summary

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority is in the "planning" stage of a procurement process for the development of the BeeGreenGM Reuse Platform, aiming to create a digital solution that facilitates the reuse of business assets, thus promoting sustainability. This service-oriented procurement falls under the IT services and software package industry categories. The procurement milestone includes a deadline on 3rd July 2026 for engagement submissions via the Chest platform. The planned contract period is from 30th September 2026 to 31st March 2028, with the geographical focus being the UK, particularly in the region of Manchester.

This opportunity presents significant growth potential for businesses involved in IT services, consulting, and software development, especially those capable of developing a market-ready digital platform. Small and medium enterprises will find this project particularly fitting, as the tender expressly supports SME suitability. The platform, intended to be GDPR compliant and adhere to GMCA's technical standards, will require robust solutions capable of supporting numerous organisations and high item volumes efficiently, allowing for self-service registration and detailed reporting. Businesses adept at creating scalable and secure digital systems with the requisite functionalities will be well-positioned to compete.
