## Summary

Staffordshire County Council has completed a procurement process for Occupational Health Physician Services under the ESPO Framework 985B_23, specifically aimed at supply services of medical personnel. The tender addressed the need for a part-time Occupational Health Physician to support the council’s in-house occupational health unit located in Stafford, within the UKG24 region. The procurement falls under the services category, and the contract was signed on 31st May 2026, with Optima Health UK Ltd as the supplier. The procurement method was limited, conducted as an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition, corresponding to a call-off contract structure from a pre-established framework, which does not require a prior notice due to its scope.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in occupational health services or medical staffing solutions. Enterprises with the capability to provide flexible, high-quality medical personnel on a part-time basis will find this type of contract conducive to business growth. The emphasis on quality and physician day rate as award criteria suggests that firms offering competitive pricing without sacrificing service quality would be well-suited to engage in similar future opportunities. Additionally, businesses capable of operating within the framework agreements might find strategic entry points into public sector contracts through such limited procurement methods.

## Notice
