## Summary

Severn Trent Water Limited, a private utility company based in Coventry, UK, is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process titled "Process Treatment Hire" aimed at engaging the market for Temporary Treatment Solutions. This initiative involves hiring treatment assets and equipment, with potential to include related services such as mobilisation, installation, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning. The contract will cover the Severn Trent region across various UK locations, including UKC, UKD, UKE, UKF, UKG, UKH, UKI, UKJ, UKK, and UKL. A Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) period has been scheduled until 3rd July 2026 to gather market insights. The overall process aims to develop a framework agreement structured into multiple lots, addressing different categories of treatment equipment, such as dewatering, chemical dosing, and aeration equipment. The proposed procurement method includes establishing a framework agreement and may subject to adjustments post-market engagement.

This procurement process presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in temporary treatment solutions, including dewatering, chemical dosing, and other related water treatment assets and services, to engage with a significant buyer in the utilities sector. The framework agreement's potential for multiple lots and suppliers allows for flexibility and the ability to cater to both planned and emergency instances, thereby fostering potential business growth. Companies with expertise in manufacturing, supplying, and maintaining such equipment, as well as offering associated operational services, would be well-suited to participate in this procurement exercise, enhancing their portfolio and fostering collaboration with a major utility provider.

## Notice

Severn Trent Water (STW) is undertaking a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) exercise to better understand the capabilities, capacity, and level of interest within the market for the provision of Temporary Treatment Solutions. This is expected to include the hire of treatment assets and associated ancillary equipment, and may include related services such as mobilisation, installation, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning. STW is exploring the potential development of a framework agreement for these services. The framework is expected to support short, medium, and long-term hire requirements across both planned activities and reactive/emergency responses at water and wastewater treatment sites across the Severn Trent region. The proposed framework may be structured into multiple lots and is likely to include multiple suppliers per lot. The indicative lot structure is as follows: 1. Lot 1 - Dewatering assets 2. Lot 2 - Chemical dosing assets 3. Lot 3 - Process treatment assets (e.g. filtration, clarification, temporary treatment units) 4. Lot 4 - Aeration and blower equipment 5. Lot 5 - Screening and grit removal equipment Please note that this lot structure is indicative only and subject to change following market engagement.
