## Summary

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport is currently conducting an active tender process for the "Transportation and Storage for Artworks Everywhere Programme". This procurement process, categorised under the services industry, aims to appoint a Fine Art transport agent responsible for managing the distribution and temporary storage of up to 2,000 artworks. These will be delivered to approximately 900 non-traditional gallery sites, including schools and hospitals across England. The procurement follows an open procedure under the Procurement Act 2023 and involves a gross budget of £180,000. Key deadlines include the tender period closing on 13th July 2026, and the contract period is expected to start from 1st September 2026, with potential renewal options extending up to September 2027.

This tender provides a significant business growth opportunity for companies specialising in transport agency services, storage and warehousing services, and museum services, particularly those with experience in handling fine art. It is particularly suitable for SMEs and VCSEs looking to expand their portfolios with high-profile government contracts. Engaging in this process via the Atamis e-Sourcing Portal not only offers the chance to bid for a substantial programme but also to establish a long-term relationship with a central government department. Businesses adept in logistics, storage, and cultural artefacts management will find their expertise well-matched to this procurement opportunity.
