## Summary

Slough Borough Council is in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Repairs Maintenance Planned and Major Works," focusing on the works category including construction and repair services. The council aims to re-tender its contract for repairs, maintenance, planned, and significant works services for its 6,000 council-owned homes, valuing up to £300 million over ten years. The current contract will expire in December 2027, with the new contract commencing on 3rd January 2028 and potentially extending until 2038. The first milestone is a market engagement event via Teams on 16th July 2026, where interested contractors are invited to join to discuss the procurement process under a Competitive Flexible Procedure. Attendees must submit questionnaires by 13th July 2026, at Henrietta.Jacobs@Slough.gov.uk, engaging with topics like digital systems, procurement routes, and contract forms.

This tender presents a significant business opportunity for construction and maintenance firms, specifically those experienced in large-scale, long-term public sector contracts such as Term Partnering Contracts (TPCs) or similar. Companies with expertise in digital repair management systems and compatible housing management systems stand to benefit from this contract. The procurement's substantial value makes it particularly suitable for businesses capable of meeting high standards of service delivery and data transparency, potentially fostering growth by securing a long-term, high-capacity public contract. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the required capabilities are encouraged to participate, showcasing their ability to bring innovative solutions and efficiency to public housing maintenance.
